Description

Title: Referral Representative I - 3rd shift
Location: Lenexa, KS 66219
Shift: Tuesday to Saturday, 2:30 AM to 11:00 AM
Duration: 3+ Months/ Temp to hire

Specimen Processing & Referral Testing

Retrieve, sort, and process specimens for shipment to referral laboratories.
Verify specimen quality and accuracy by identifying issues such as:
- Incorrect specimen type
- Missing patient or test information
- Improper temperature
- Quantity not sufficient (QNS)
- Other specimen integrity concerns

Prepare specimens and packages for shipment in compliance with IATA regulations.
Research test availability and determine the appropriate referral laboratory using established protocols.
Report laboratory results according to established procedures.
Communicate all Tests Not Performed (TNPs) and laboratory accidents to clients within 24 hours of notification.
Thoroughly document all communications and escalate concerns to supervisors when appropriate.
