Refinery Superintendent

Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a Refinery Superintendent on behalf of our client, a global food ingredients manufacturer, for its refinery plant in Newark, California.

This position sits within the client's Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products, including poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa, and chocolate. The Refinery Superintendent oversees safety, food quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance for the Newark Refinery plant.

Compensation

Base salary of $130,000 to $160,000 per year.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure employee safety, food safety, and environmental compliance programs are implemented.
  
• Remain accountable for all internal and external operating and regulatory procedures, including strategic and tactical execution in alignment with corporate EH&S, food safety, quality, and regulatory functions as well as government regulations.
  
• Lead production and quality management deliverables to ensure customer, product, and quality standard requirements are met within specifications.
  
• Establish and deploy operational priorities for the Newark Refinery plant.
  
• Oversee the overall operational management of a single plant and implement operational efficiency improvements, which may include standardization of plant information manufacturing systems, quality control, safety, production reliability excellence, and maintenance and operator best practices.
  
• Lead, direct, and control capital and operating budgets for the plant to achieve the medium term financial performance objectives set by the business.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  
• Minimum of 4 years of related work experience.
  
• Experience in food, beverage, or ingredients manufacturing plant operations is preferred.
