Local company seeking skilled Refractory Bricklayers!
1st Shift Openings!
Essential Functions:
- Read and interpret refractory lining drawings and work orders
- Use brick saws and bricklaying equipment to install firebrick in ladles, furnaces, tundishes, and related units
- Perform refractory installation methods including gunite, pouring, ramming, pumping, ceramic fiber, and firebrick work
- Assist with cleaning and preparing equipment for repair, relining, and fabrication
- Performing preventive and general maintenance tasks on tools and refractory equipment; documenting the preventative maintenance
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience using brick saws and bricklaying equipment
- Working knowledge of refractory-lined units (ladles, furnaces, tundishes, etc.)
- Ability to safely operate a jib crane and properly rig loads
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
