Refreshment Cart Attendant
Salary Range $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly
Position Summary
Responsible for driving a refreshment cart riding on the cart paths of the golf course and providing refreshment service to guests at Traditions at Chevy Chase. Ensures that all programs and services are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Wheeling Park District and Chevy Chase Country Club.
Essential Job Duties
- Drives beverage cart along cart paths.
- Takes orders and serves guests.
- Maintains adequate supply of snacks and beverages on cart.
- Issues bill, collects money and documents same.
- At shift end, reconciles cash to orders taken.
- Properly inventories stock before, during and after scheduled shifts.
- Properly collects and documents cash transactions in accordance with Park District policies.
- Consistently complies with all state, local and agency laws/policies regarding the sale and disposition of alcoholic beverages.
- Mixes, prepares and serves drinks according to recipes approved by management.
- Cleans cart after last shift.
- As directed, restocks cart for next day service.
- Work as scheduled.
- Personal appearance conveys to the public a general impression of the facility. It is the responsibility of every employee to be properly attired and neatly groomed. Name tags and uniforms must be worn at all times.
- Performs the job safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
- Participates in required training and safety programs as established by the Wheeling Park District.

- Performs special projects or other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position Requirements Minimum 6 months working experience or aptitude to train. Previous server experience a plus.
Skills and Abilities Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time arrival. Must be able to read, write and speak in English. Exercise good judgment and confidentiality CPR/AED certification or be able to earn within 60 days. Knowledge Knowledge of golf etiquette a plus.
Physical Requirements
Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, twist, talk and hear; use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tool, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to walk on uneven grounds. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. Specific vision abilities are required and include close vision and ability to adjust focus. May need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions
Most activities will be performed outdoors. Driving to other park facilities will require the worker to be outside. Employee may be exposed to cleaning agents and toner chemicals.
