We are currently looking for a reliable Independent Contractor with a Refrigerated Box Truck to join our team in the Columbia, SC area. This position is ideal for an owner-operator who is dependable, professional, and committed to on-time deliveries.
You will be responsible for transporting temperature-controlled goods safely and efficiently while maintaining proper refrigeration standards during transit.
Responsibilities
- Transport refrigerated goods safely and on schedule
- Ensure proper temperature control throughout delivery
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status
- Follow all DOT and safety regulations
Requirements
- Must own or operate a Refrigerated Box Truck
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to handle time-sensitive deliveries
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Ability to lift and move cargo when required
