Refrigeration Service Technician

Our client is seeking experienced Industrial Refrigeration Service Technicians to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial refrigeration equipment, with a focus on ammonia-based systems used in food processing and cold storage environments. The position involves travel, on-call responsibilities, and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities -

- Handle maintenance and repair of industrial refrigeration equipment, specializing in ammonia-based systems.

- Troubleshoot and repair compressors, electrical circuits, and refrigeration control systems.

- Perform scheduled inspections and preventive work to ensure equipment reliability and compliance.

- Provide rapid response for emergency breakdowns and urgent service requests.

- Keep detailed and accurate records of service, parts, and work performed.

- Adhere strictly to safety protocols set by both company and clients.

- Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to solve technical and operational challenges.

Job Requirements -
- HVAC or refrigeration trade school training is a plus.
- At least 5 years of ammonia refrigeration experience, or a decade of hands-on work for advanced roles.
- Universal EPA license and RETA certifications preferred.
- Strong ability to perform unsupervised troubleshooting and repairs.
- Flexibility to work overtime, travel, and handle emergency service calls.
- Must successfully pass drug testing and motor vehicle screening prior to hire.
- A valid driver's license and safe driving record are required.
- Capable of lifting 75 lbs. and working in physically demanding environments.
