Job Summary The Re frigeration Technician is responsible for testing refrigerated display cases to ensure product performance meets defined specifications. This role involves refrigeration equipment setup, evacuation, charging, functional checks, facility maintenance, and installation of refrigeration piping, equipment, and small condensing units. The technician ensures compliance with industry standards while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Cond uct performance testing on refrigerated display cases in accordance with industry and company standards Troubleshoot refrigeration faults and recommend corrective actions Evaluate test data and suggest case modifications to meet testing standards Perform brazing on copper, brass, aluminum, and other metals Maintain test facility and equipment, performing preventive maintenance as needed Interpret blueprints and schematics for installation and troubleshooting Maintain a clean and safe work area Required Qualifications H igh school diploma or GED EPA 608 Level 2 or Universal Certification Proficiency in brazing techniques Ability to read and understand piping/electrical schematics Minimum of 1 year experience in installation, servicing, troubleshooting, or manufacturing of HVAC/refrigeration equipment Preferred Qualifications Expe rience with refrigerated display cases, electrical systems, and refrigeration controls Hands-on experience in manufacturing or testing refrigeration equipment Career Studies Certificate or other HVAC refrigeration certification Knowledge of control boards (Dixell, Carell, etc.) Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting Journeyman or higher-level technician experience Certifications EP A 608 Level 2 or Universal Certification required Additional HVAC/refrigeration certifications preferred What Success Looks Like Accurate and efficient testing of refrigerated display cases Effective troubleshooting and resolution of refrigeration faults Well-maintained test facility and equipment ensuring operational readiness Safe and organized work environment maintained consistently Collaboration with engineering and operations teams to improve product performance Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements Ability to operate power tools and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without mechanical aids Ability to perform tasks involving standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, or kneeling Work performed in a production environment subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust Education: High School
