Role Overview:
The Refuge Clinic Volunteer Coordinator cultivates and manages meaningful volunteer engagement by recruiting, onboarding, training, and supporting individuals who align with Refuge Clinic’s mission and values. This role builds a healthy, connected volunteer culture that equips volunteers to serve with excellence, compassion, and purpose. Primary Responsibilities Include: - Review, interview, and assess volunteer applicants to ensure alignment with the ministry’s mission and values.
- Coordinate and connect new volunteers by facilitating the onboarding process into their new rolesat the clinic.
- Represent and present the mission of the clinic to the community (including local churches, groups, organizations, etc.) for the purpose of volunteer recruitment.
- Coordinate with practicum students and interns, connecting them to the mission of the clinic and facilitating a relationship with their staff supervisor to ensure a meaningful experience.
- Facilitate volunteer appreciation and encouragement through annual events, ongoing support, and individual recognition.
- Ensure appropriate credentialing approval for volunteers as required by clinic licensure.
- Collaborate with Refuge staff to assist in maintaining proper training materials for volunteers ensuring cohesive alignment across all departments.
- Implements and oversees annual safety and bloodborne pathogen training for volunteers.
- Works with clinic leadership to support clinic wide trainings as needed.
