What will I be doing?

The technician plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency by returning products to service-ready condition through structured refurbishment and quality verification processes.

Repair & Refurbishment Technician

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and evaluate returned or used equipment to determine repair and refurbishment requirements

Perform repairs, part replacements, cleaning, and restoration according to established procedures, using appropriate tools and safety practices

Test refurbished equipment to verify functionality, performance, and quality standards, documenting findings and identifying root causes of recurring failures

Maintain accurate service records, parts usage logs, and inventory tracking; report shortages and communicate findings to supervisors and cross-functional teams

Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on product reliability, contributing to process development, and participating in quality audits

Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in a clean, organized, and safety-compliant condition

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Mechanical and/or technical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and ability to interpret technical documentation

Effective time management and ability to maintain productivity while performing detail-oriented work for extended periods

Clear communication and team collaboration skills

Proficiency or willingness to learn relevant software tools including xTuple ERP (to be replaced with Salesforce soon), Zendesk/Salesforce, FedEx ShipManager/UPS WorldShip/ShipStation, Shopify, Smartsheet, and Google Workspace

Prior inventory management experience is a plus

Passion for the entertainment or broadcast industry is a plus
