Tesla is seeking a curious, engaging, and driven Refurbishment Technical Training Instructor to join the Collision Learning & Development (L&D) team. You will deliver training to onboard and support the performance of Refurbishment Technicians. You will ensure the effective and efficient execution of our learning programs, including the success of training for Technicians at new and existing Tesla Used Car Refurbishment locations. This position will be located at this Tesla Used Car Processing Hub and will travel to deliver training at other Used Car locations such as Kissimmee, FL and Elk Grove, IL.
Deliver engaging instructor-led training on used car refurbishment processes at multiple Used Car Refurbishment locations
Train and develop Refurbishment technicians on all aspects of the refurbishment process including inspections, repair planning & estimating, wheel & tire mounting & balancing, wheel refinishing, vehicle alignment, dent and plastic repair, painting operations, vehicle assembly, polishing & detailing
Maintain knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance, refurbishment and repair of Tesla vehicles
Ensure that training programs and processes are developed, assessed, communicated, and administered in compliance with Tesla's objectives
Assist with scheduling classes, coordinating site trainings, and conducting virtual support while maintaining communications with Leadership
Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet project timelines and objectives. Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
Must be able to work independently in limited supervision environments. Comply with all Tesla safety rules guidelines and standards
5+ years of collision or refurbishment and automotive painting industry experience, training experience preferred
Certificate from Vocational School in Collision Repair preferred and experienced in back-of-house collision or refurbishment operations
Proven ability in structuring demonstrations and instruction sessions
Aluminum and steel dent repair, automotive painting, refurbishment and estimating experience, certifications preferred
High level of proficiency in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Maintain and perform top level professional integrity and appearance as a Collision Trainer
60% travel domestically and internationally based on business needs and capable of lifting 50lbs. and driving a forklift

$76,000 - $114,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
