Mobile Air & Power Rentals is seeking a highly organized and driven Refurbishment & Logistics Coordinator to oversee the coordination of refurbishment projects for our nationwide rental fleet while supporting transportation and logistics operations.

This position plays a critical role in maximizing fleet availability, improving asset reliability, and ensuring equipment is refurbished efficiently and returned to service quickly. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, and has experience working with operations, service teams, vendors, and logistics partners.

This position is primarily remote (approximately 80-90%) with occasional travel to branch locations, vendor facilities, and project sites as business needs require.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, implement, and manage a centralized refurbishment program for large rental assets including:
    • Chillers
    • Air Conditioners
    • Heaters
    • Generators
    • Ancillary support equipment
  • Establish refurbishment priorities, project schedules, and backlog management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for refurbishment requests across all branch locations.
  • Develop and maintain standardized processes for submitting refurbishment requests, including photos, equipment details, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate refurbishment activities between branch operations, service teams, manufacturers, vendors, and third-party repair facilities.
  • Monitor refurbishment progress, project costs, timelines, and equipment availability.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting throughout each refurbishment project.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly fleet refurbishment reports and performance updates.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to establish fleet standards and refurbishment priorities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance fleet lifecycle management, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate equipment transportation between branches, customer sites, vendors, and refurbishment facilities.
  • Assist the Logistics and Service Operations teams during periods of high demand by coordinating freight shipments and preparing Bills of Lading (BOLs).
  • Build strong working relationships across Operations, Fleet, Service, and Logistics teams to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in logistics, fleet operations, equipment coordination, rental operations, service operations, or project coordination preferred.
  • Experience working with heavy equipment, industrial equipment, HVAC, power generation, construction, or rental equipment is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems.
  • Comfortable learning new software and technology platforms.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of fleet lifecycle management.
  • Experience coordinating transportation and freight.
  • Understanding of equipment maintenance and refurbishment processes.
  • Experience working with vendors and third-party service providers.
