Position Summary 

 The Region Lead - Brokerage position strives to secure suitable carrier solutions for customers’ transportation opportunities within specified domestic regions of the U.S.  Responsible for the direct development of Brokers.  Working with the Regional Team structure is of supreme importance to ensure ODW Logistics serves both its customers and carriers’ needs at high levels. 

 Essential Responsibilities 

  •  Oversees daily and weekly load coverage within region 
  • Manage non-exempt employees’ schedules and PTO through workforce management software (UKG) 
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for after-hours issues 
  • Assist with P&L understanding and ability to manage it 
  • Oversees updates needed for carrier vetting with Fraud Protection for onboarding spot carriers 
  • Aid in carrier recruitment and foster existing relationships with carriers  
  • Lead subject matter expert (SME) for your assigned region and maintain effective communication with carriers 
  • Drive continuous improvement within the region and brokerage team 
  • Compare and communicate market trends and pricing  
  • All other duties as assigned  

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience 

  • High school or GED diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred  
  • 5-7 year(s) of supply chain industry experience, management/supervisor experience preferred  
  • Previous knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Terminal Services and Virtual/Thin client architecture preferred
