Job Description

The Regional Admissions Recruiter & Special Projects Coordinator serves as the primary university representative within an assigned Northern California territory and supports strategic enrollment initiatives through project-based work within Undergraduate Admissions. This position is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies, building partnerships with high schools, community colleges, alumni networks, and community-based organizations, and counseling prospective students and families throughout the admissions process. The role will also collaborate closely with regional alumni volunteers and university partners to support outreach, yield efforts, and regional engagement activities. In addition to regional recruitment responsibilities, the position will lead and support special projects related to outreach, communications, events, technology, data management, and operational initiatives that advance enrollment goals. The position requires extensive travel throughout Northern California, including evening and weekend commitments during peak recruitment periods. The salary range for this position is $61,000.00 - $106,8000 annually, However, the expected budgeted pay scale for this position is $61,000.00 - $70,000.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. Offers of employment are dependent on completing a misconduct disclosure and potential background check.\n \nRegional Recruitment, Territory Management & Student Counseling - Develop and implement year-round recruitment strategies for an assigned territory. - Represent UCR through high school visits, college fairs, counselor programs, community outreach, recruitment presentations, and other recruitment activities. - Provide admissions counseling to prospective students, families, counselors, and community partners regarding admissions requirements, academic programs, financial aid, housing, student life, and career opportunities. - Provide information about higher education and the University of California system through individual and group presentations. Serve as the primary UCR representative within the assigned region and respond to inquiries regarding admissions policies, application procedures, and enrollment opportunities. Application Review, Evaluation & Administrative Support - Review and evaluate admissions applications, supporting documentation, and final official transcripts using established admissions guidelines. - Exercise professional judgment in recommending applicants for admission and determining eligibility for assigned applicant populations. - Consult with senior staff and campus partners regarding complex admissions cases and policy interpretation. - Support recruitment reporting, data analysis, and departmental operational needs. - Maintain accurate records and documentation related to recruitment and admissions activities. Relationship Development & Partnership Engagement - Establish and maintain relationships with counselors, educators, community-based organizations, alumni, university partners, and other stakeholders. - Serve as a liaison between students, families, schools, community organizations, and the university. - Coordinate regional engagement opportunities that support enrollment goals and increase awareness of UCR. Yield Programs, Virtual Engagement & Student Outreach - Support overnight student programs, regional receptions, admitted student events, and other yield-focused initiatives. - Participate in Virtual Counselor of the Day responsibilities, virtual recruitment programming, and student outreach efforts. - Implement and support recruitment and yield activities designed to enhance student engagement and enrollment outcomes. Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives - Lead and support special projects aligned with departmental priorities and enrollment goals. - Assist with communications strategies, technology initiatives, process improvements, CRM activities, and operational projects that support Undergraduate Admissions. - Analyze recruitment, enrollment, and educational data to support strategic planning, territory management, and resource allocation. - Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies that support recruitment, enrollment growth, and student success. \n \nAbility to work effectively, independently, and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities while managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines.Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage with diverse student populations, families, counselors, and community partners.Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with schools, universities, community organizations, and other external stakeholders.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, including the ability to evaluate information, interpret policies and procedures, and develop logical recommendations.Ability to manage a high volume of undergraduate admissions applications and related responsibilities while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.Working knowledge of University of California admissions policies, academic programs, and financial aid programs.\n \nAbility to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with schools, universities, community organizations, and other external stakeholders. Ability to work effectively, independently, and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities while managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
