Regional Alignment Data Coordinator

The Regional Data Coordinator role offers an opportunity to blend data-driven insight with hands-on collaboration across the 30 diverse counties of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Region 2.
In this position, you’ll move beyond spreadsheets and statistics—partnering directly with communities, providers, and statewide stakeholders to uncover local trends, assess needs, and enhance substance use prevention strategies. Your efforts will help shape healthier futures across our region and beyond.
What You’ll Do
As the Regional Data Coordinator, you will:
- Develop and implement data collection strategies tailored to specific community and regional needs.
- Analyze and interpret data to create concise, actionable reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Offer technical assistance and consultation to providers, community groups, and partner organizations.
- Conduct focus groups, interviews, and other methods to gather new data on county and regional trends.
- Collaborate closely with HHSC’s Statewide Prevention Evaluator to align regional efforts with statewide goals.
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences or a related field preferred.
- Coursework and/or experience in statistics, research methods, or program evaluation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform data into clear, compelling insights.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for working with diverse partners.
- A deep commitment to improving community health and using data to guide effective decision-making.

- Schedule: Monday–Friday, with some evening, occasional weekend events, travel required
