Regional CDL A Driver – Intermodal | Chicago | Up To $103K/Year

We are hiring Class A CDL Drivers for a regional intermodal position operating throughout the Midwest. This role offers consistent freight, strong weekly pay, and reliable home time.

Drivers will run freight primarily to and from Chicago rail yards, covering surrounding states with predictable lanes and steady miles.

What You'll Do

• Haul intermodal container freight (100% no-touch)
• Run regional routes across WI, IL, IA, and MN
• Average ~1,900–2,400+ miles per week
• Operate between rail yards and customer locations
• Maintain safe and efficient driving practices

Pay & Compensation

• Average Annual Pay: $80,000 – $103,000
• Average Weekly Pay (first 2–3 months): $1,450
• Mileage Pay: $0.59 – $0.64 CPM

Additional Pay:

• $35 – Drop & Hook
• $65 – Live Load/Unload
• Safety & service bonus up to $1,000/year
• $5,000 sign-on bonus

Home Time & Schedule

• Home weekly
• Monday – Friday schedule
• Start times between 4:00 AM – 10:00 AM
• Option to take 10-hour breaks at home when nearby

Equipment & Operation

• Automatic Freightliner tractors
• 53' intermodal container chassis
• Rail yard container operations

Training

• Training program: ~2 weeks with a driver trainer
• Hands-on experience operating live freight
• In-truck training with support from experienced drivers

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months CDL-A experience
• No endorsements required
• Ability to maintain ~1,900 miles/week production
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
