Drivers typically run regional freight from northern North Carolina through Maine and as far west as eastern Ohio, with home time Saturday and Sunday for a 34-hour reset.

Compensation and benefits

• $4,000 sign-on bonus
• $0.80–$0.85 per mile
• Average 1,500 miles per week, depending on hours and freight availability
