This Regional CDL Driver will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle on regional routes within a small fleet environment. This role requires careful adherence to safety standards and effective communication while managing rotating work shifts. The driver will report directly to the fleet manager and play a key part in ensuring timely and secure deliveries across assigned routes.
Responsibilities
Operate commercial vehicle safely on regional routes
Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
Plan efficient routes in coordination with fleet management
Secure loads according to safety standards
Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
Communicate clearly with dispatcher and the fleet manager
Adhere to defensive driving practices to prevent accidents

Required Qualifications
2+ years of commercial driving experience
Strong safe driving practices and defensive driving skills
Ability to conduct thorough vehicle inspections
Experience with route planning and time management
Effective communication skills
Competence in load securing techniques
Problem-solving ability in on-route situations
