Description

Under the leadership of the Chief Medical Officer with assistance from the Clinical Directors, the Regional Clinical Leader provides leadership and management for a defined subset of the clinical providers of Primary Health Network (PHN). The Regional Clinical Leader also provides primary care, including routine health maintenance, management of chronic conditions, and management of acute illnesses to patients of PHN. The Regional Clinical Leader will provide leadership and oversight to physicians and APPs.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, supervises and evaluates clinical providers within a defined region, in collaboration with CMO.
  • Provides support for the orientation and onboarding of newly recruited providers.
  • Provides ongoing support to providers related to clinical care, practice management, and professional development.
  • Supports providers in achieving quality goals.
  • Supports providers in achieving access and productivity goals.
  • Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer and in collaboration with Regional Director, assumes a responsible role in operational improvement and problem solving in health center operations, including clinical care, access, utilization and visits, staffing, patient scheduling and financial issues.
  • Assists in development, implementation and monitoring of quality improvement plan and efforts-including peer review, meeting TJC standards and other compliance and regulatory agencies
  • Responds promptly to staff and patient complaints about standards of practice and quality of care
  • Assists Chief Medical Officer in strategic planning, implementing agency mission and ensuring patient focused approach in operations of the center.
  • Represents provider perspective in planning for program changes
  • Responsible for working with providers to implement changes including practice transformation, systems improvements, value-based contracts, and population health.
  • Provides primary care services in accordance with the staff physician role
  • Assists developing CME and other learning opportunities for providers
  • Collaborates with students and educational partners to expand the reach of rural health professionals.

Location

This position will cover PHN sites in the Western side of the state.
