Regional Director of Admissions – Skilled Nursing
Location: Brooklyn & Staten Island, NY
Compensation: $185,000 base salary + up to $50,000 in annual incentives
A well-established skilled nursing organization is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Admissions to oversee admissions operations across four facilities in New York City.
This is a leadership role for someone who understands how to drive census, develop strong admissions teams, and step directly into a facility when additional support is needed.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support the Directors of Admissions at three skilled nursing facilities in Brooklyn and one facility in Staten Island
- Provide leadership, coaching, training, and accountability to each facility’s admissions department
- Monitor admissions performance, referral activity, conversion rates, and census trends
- Develop and implement strategies to increase census and strengthen admissions performance
- Work closely with facility leadership and regional management to identify opportunities for growth
- Step into a facility when needed to provide hands-on admissions support, including:
- Training or developing admissions staff
- Addressing performance issues
- Supporting a facility experiencing admissions challenges
- Helping increase census and referral conversion
- Maintain strong relationships with hospitals, referral sources, case managers, and community partners
- Ensure each facility maintains an organized, responsive, and effective admissions process
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Director of Admissions in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care facility
- Strong understanding of skilled nursing admissions and census development
- Proven ability to lead and develop admissions teams
- Experience building relationships with hospital and community referral sources
- Ability and willingness to travel between facilities in Brooklyn and Staten Island
- Must be comfortable stepping into an individual facility and taking a hands-on role when additional support is required
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Compensation
- $185,000 base salary
- Up to $50,000 in annual performance incentives
- Total annual earning potential of up to $235,000
