Regional Director of Business Development – St. Louis Metro

GBA is seeking a Regional Director of Business Development to lead strategic growth across our public infrastructure markets across the St. Louis Metro and surrounding region.

This role is focused on identifying opportunities before they hit the street, strengthening executive-level client relationships, leading complex pursuits, and helping position GBA for long-term regional success. You will work alongside executive leadership, market leaders, and technical teams to shape go-to-market strategy, expand market presence, and drive sustainable growth across multiple markets and services.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and advance regional business development strategy to drive sustained growth and market expansion
  • Identify and develop high-value opportunities across public and private sector markets throughout the St. Louis region
  • Build and strengthen relationships with executive-level clients, partners, developers, public agencies, and industry leaders
  • Lead capture planning and pursuit strategy for major opportunities and strategic accounts
  • Partner with executive and operational leadership to align regional growth priorities with enterprise strategy
  • Establish pursuit discipline, forecast expectations, and pipeline management standards across the region
  • Guide Go/No-Go decisions, including opportunity qualification and strategic investment decisions
  • Lead cross-functional pursuit teams, coordinating technical staff, operations, and marketing resources
  • Identify and drive cross-market and cross-service opportunities that strengthen regional positioning
  • Represent GBA at industry events, conferences, community organizations, and strategic client meetings
  • Mentor and support business development professionals and seller-doers across the region

You are a strategic business developer who understands the A/E industry and knows how to turn relationships, market insight, and positioning into long-term growth opportunities.

  • Understand how to position and grow professional services organizations within competitive markets
