The Regional Director of Commercial Strategy drives revenue generation and market positioning through comprehensive
strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, and integrated commercial approaches. This role requires a keen understanding
of market dynamics, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to synthesize sales, revenue management, and marketing efforts
to maximize overall hotel performance. The primary responsibility is to lead regional profitability through an innovative and
entrepreneurial spirit, develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies, motivate cross-functional teams, and achieve
revenue, market share, and brand positioning goals. The Regional Director of Commercial Strategy will report directly to the
Vice President, Commercial Strategy.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement holistic commercial strategies that integrate sales, revenue management, and marketing efforts
to achieve comprehensive revenue targets and market share growth across the region.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including sales directors, revenue managers, and marketing specialists,
providing strategic guidance, support, and ongoing professional development to optimize performance and
productivity.
• Directly oversee and hold Directors of Sales accountable for meeting performance targets, adhering to company
standards, and implementing strategic initiatives.
• Proactively manage sales team staffing needs by ensuring all sales positions are promptly filled with qualified
candidates and implementing interim coverage plans for any open positions to maintain sales momentum.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Sales Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency
and excellence across all properties in the region.
• Establish clear, measurable goals for sales teams, implement tracking systems, and conduct regular performance
reviews to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
• Lead the annual budgeting process for sales departments across the region, including creating realistic forecasts, setting
appropriate revenue targets, and developing strategic resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate all commercial strategy related tasks during hotel management transitions, ensuring continuity of revenue
generation, minimal disruption to client relationships, and seamless handover of strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with hotel owners, regional directors of operations, and general managers to align commercial
strategies with property goals, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
• Develop and execute integrated marketing and sales plans that leverage data-driven insights, combining digital
marketing campaigns, targeted sales approaches, and strategic revenue management techniques.
• Conduct advanced market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and
potential areas for strategic innovation and improvement.
• Design and oversee the development of comprehensive commercial presentations, strategic proposals, and promotional
materials that showcase the unique value proposition of each property.
• Implement and monitor advanced performance analytics, including:

o Comprehensive revenue metrics
o Market penetration indices
o Customer acquisition costs
o Marketing campaign effectiveness
o Sales conversion rates

• Leverage technological tools and data analytics platforms to drive strategic decision-making and commercial
performance.
• Maintain strategic relationships with key accounts, including corporate clients, travel agencies, online travel platforms,
and other critical business partners.
• Create and implement sophisticated pricing strategies that balance market competitiveness, demand forecasting, and
revenue optimization.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, strategic networking events, and leadership forums to enhance brand
visibility and generate innovative business opportunities.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging and commercial approach across all regional properties.
• Always maintain professionalism consistent with hotel brand and company expectations.


Required Skills and Requisites:

• Advanced communication skills with the ability to articulate complex strategies across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated expertise in integrated commercial strategy, combining sales, revenue management, and marketing
approaches.
• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation and strategic decision-making.
• Proven experience with sophisticated revenue management systems and advanced analytics platforms.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to develop and manage complex budgetary strategies.
• Experience with advanced digital marketing techniques and integrated marketing technology platforms.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing innovative commercial strategies in the hospitality industry.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, dynamic environments while maintaining strategic focus.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop cross-functional teams.
• Advanced proficiency with technology systems, including:
o Revenue management software
o Advanced CRM platforms
o Business intelligence and analytics tools
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field
• Minimum of 7-8 years of progressive experience in hospitality commercial strategies
• Demonstrated success in integrated revenue generation and strategic planning
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight and regional travel
