Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Director of Operations to lead and oversee multiple operational functions across a regional healthcare environment. This role is responsible for driving performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building strong leadership teams across Sterile Processing, Transportation, and Facilities operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Regional Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide leadership oversight across Sterile Processing, Transportation, and Facilities operations
  • Lead and develop Directors, Managers, and Coordinators across multiple sites
  • Establish regional goals, priorities, and performance standards
  • Align operations with organizational strategy and growth initiatives
  • Drive cross-functional integration for seamless operational execution

Operations & Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with AAMI, CDC, CMS, DOT, OSHA, and accreditation standards
  • Oversee audit readiness, inspections, and regulatory outcomes
  • Standardize workflows, documentation, and processes across all sites
  • Monitor performance trends and proactively address operational risks

Leadership Development & Talent Management

  • Mentor and coach multi-site leadership teams
  • Build succession plans and leadership pipelines in collaboration with HR
  • Drive performance management and accountability frameworks
  • Support recruitment and onboarding for key leadership roles

Quality, Throughput & Continuous Improvement

  • Own regional metrics including quality, turnaround time, throughput, and service reliability
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives
  • Identify and implement best practices across sites
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and consistency

Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration

  • Serve as the regional operations leader working with healthcare systems and clinical partners
  • Ensure alignment of operations with customer expectations and service-level agreements
  • Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, and Facilities leadership teams
  • Participate in executive-level planning and growth initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience
  • Minimum 5+ years in multi-site leadership roles
  • Experience across multiple operational areas such as:
    • Sterile Processing (SPD)
    • Logistics / Transportation
    • Facilities Management
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory and transportation standards
  • Proven ability to develop leaders and drive operational performance
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience in high-growth or multi-site environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CRCST certification or equivalent sterile processing certification strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations and leading cross-functional teams

Work Environment:

  • Multi-site healthcare operations setting
  • Regional travel may be required
