Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Retail, the Regional Director of Beacon's Urgent Care provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for MedPoint Urgent Care, Beacon Urgent Care and Beacon Immediate Care locations. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while driving operational excellence, provider engagement, patient experience, growth, and financial performance. The Director collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leaders, and health system executives to advance urgent care services and support organizational goals.

The Director serves as the senior operational leader for urgent care services and is accountable for achieving performance targets related to quality, access, patient satisfaction, workforce engagement, volume growth, and financial stewardship.

Provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for Urgent Care Services by:

• Developing and executing growth strategies that expand market presence, improve access, and support service excellence.
• Identifying opportunities to increase utilization, strengthen community engagement, and enhance patient access.
• Monitoring healthcare market trends, competitive intelligence, and industry best practices.
• Directing day-to-day operations across all Urgent Care locations.
• Optimizing staffing, patient flow, scheduling, and resource utilization.
• Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators related to quality, safety, operational efficiency, patient experience, and financial performance.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency and standardize operations.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
• Developing and managing operating and capital budgets while implementing strategies to achieve financial and operational goals.

Provides leadership to advance clinical excellence, workforce engagement, community partnerships, and patient-centered care by:

• Promoting a culture of safety, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Monitoring quality and patient experience outcomes and implementing performance improvement initiatives.
• Partnering with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical leaders to advance quality outcomes and evidence-based practice.
• Recruiting, developing, engaging, and retaining high-performing leaders and staff.
• Leading managers and supervisors to achieve operational, quality, and financial objectives.
• Building and sustaining partnerships with employers, schools, community organizations, healthcare partners, and referral sources.
• Supporting marketing, business development, occupational health, and employer service initiatives.
• Serving as an ambassador for Urgent Care Services throughout the communities served.
• Collaborating across primary care, specialty care, emergency services, imaging, laboratory, and other service lines to strengthen care coordination and patient retention.
• Participating in leadership councils, organizational committees, strategic planning initiatives, and system integration activities.

Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:

• Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
• Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
• Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
• Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
• Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
• Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
• Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
• Complies with established organization and department policies.
• Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education and Experience

• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field required.
• Minimum ten (10) years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including at least three (3) years of operational leadership in urgent care, ambulatory care, physician practice management, or outpatient services.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams, driving operational performance, and managing budgets and financial resources.
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, engage, and retain high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Experience collaborating with physicians and advanced practice providers on workforce planning, provider engagement, recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare operations, quality improvement, patient experience, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare operations, ambulatory and urgent care services, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, quality improvement methodologies, and industry trends.
• Strong business acumen with expertise in operational leadership, financial management, budgeting, strategic planning, and service line growth.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, evaluate organizational performance, identify opportunities, and implement effective solutions to improve quality, efficiency, and patient experience.

Working Conditions

• Works with staff, patients, physicians and others with frequent changes in job demands.
