Based in New York, this is a senior leadership role at the intersection of world-class facilities management, premium meetings and events delivery, and people leadership.
This role demands an agile, hands-on leader who sets the tone for service excellence, thrives in fast-paced, high-expectation environments, and brings deep experience managing diverse, multi-disciplinary teams across facilities operations, guest experience, and meetings and events. While the primary base is New York, the role carries regional accountability and requires periodic travel to support sites in Boston, Washington DC, and Toronto.
You will be a trusted partner to senior client stakeholders, maintaining an unwavering attention to detail and ensuring every interaction - from daily operations to C-suite events - reflects the highest standards of professionalism.
What You'll Do
Leadership & Visibility
- Serve as the primary, highly visible CBRE leader for the New York portfolio, with regional accountability across Boston, Washington DC, and Toronto.
- Lead by example, modelling CBRE RISE values and setting a high-performance, service-oriented culture that permeates every layer of the team.
- Respond swiftly and decisively to emerging issues, demonstrating the agility required to manage across multiple time zones and diverse site environments.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders at each site, acting as a responsive and proactive business partner.
- Maintain a visible, engaged leadership presence in New York and across the wider region that inspires confidence in clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Meetings, Events & Workplace Experience
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of high-profile meetings and events across the portfolio, ensuring flawless execution for senior executives, board-level gatherings, and large-scale corporate events.
- Set and maintain impeccable standards of presentation, hospitality, and attention to detail across all meeting spaces and event environments.
- Partner closely with AV, catering, security, and reception teams to deliver integrated, seamless event experiences that reflect the client's brand and culture.
- Proactively anticipate client needs, applying rigorous advance planning and real-time responsiveness to ensure nothing is left to chance.
- Drive continuous improvement in meetings and events processes, leveraging feedback and data to raise the bar consistently.
People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, develop and inspire diverse, multi-disciplinary teams spanning facilities management, meetings and events, and workplace experience across four cities.
- Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and supports the growth and retention of talent at all levels.
- Provide formal supervision including performance management, coaching, mentoring, and development planning for direct reports and their teams.
- Manage workforce planning, scheduling, cross-training, and succession across the east region to ensure operational resilience and continuity.
- Champion team wellbeing and professional development, creating clear pathways for progression within the CBRE account structure.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across all sites, aligned to contractual requirements and client expectations.
- Track, report and drive achievement of regional KPIs, identifying and addressing performance gaps with pace and precision.
- Manage landlord and property manager relationships across the portfolio, always acting in the client's best interests.
- Identify and implement financial savings opportunities, process efficiencies, and scalable innovations that improve service quality and value.
- Maintain regulatory compliance across all facilities, applying a comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and building standards.
- Apply deep knowledge across facilities disciplines - including hard and soft services - while also holding expertise in meetings and events environments.
- Act as a business partner to senior client and account leadership, contributing to operational strategy and long-term account growth.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 8-12 years of progressive facilities management experience; a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Proven track record leading multi-site, multi-disciplinary facilities teams across geographically dispersed portfolios - ideally including international locations.
- Significant experience delivering high-profile meetings and events for senior executives and large corporate gatherings, with an unwavering attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse, inclusive teams - with experience spanning facilities operations, guest experience, and meetings and events functions.
- An agile, responsive leadership style - someone who is equally comfortable setting strategy and rolling up their sleeves when needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly at all levels of an organization.
- Willingness to travel periodically to Boston, Washington DC, and Toronto to provide regional leadership and maintain strong site relationships.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-expectation corporate environments - ideally supporting global or Fortune 500 organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Airtable, and Slack.
- Functional knowledge of corporate real estate and integrated facilities management preferred.
- A tolerance for ambiguity and the resilience to perform at a consistently high level across complex, multi-site environments.
