The Regional Engineering Projects Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of capital and engineering projects across multiple manufacturing sites within the assigned region. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and aligned with corporate engineering standards, sustainability goals, and operational excellence initiatives.The role acts as a critical link between global strategy and regional execution, partnering closely with plant leadership, R&D, operations, supply chain, and external engineering partners.Key ResponsibilitiesCapital Projects & Program ManagementLead regional capital investment projects from concept through commissioning and handoverManage a portfolio of engineering projects including capacity expansions, new lines, equipment upgrades, and technology transfersDevelop project charters, scope, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plansEnsure adherence to capital governance, stage-gate processes, and financial controlsTechnical & Engineering LeadershipProvide engineering oversight for process, mechanical, electrical, automation, and civil disciplinesEnsure compliance with global engineering standards, safety requirements, and regulatory codesSupport scale‑up of materials science technologies from R&D or pilot to full productionDrive standardization and best‑practice sharing across regional sitesRegional & Cross‑Functional CollaborationPartner with plant managers, operations, maintenance, EHS, and quality teams to ensure operational readinessAlign regional project execution with global engineering, technology, and sustainability strategiesCoordinate with procurement and supply chain for equipment sourcing and contractor managementAct as a technical escalation point for complex project challengesContractor & Stakeholder ManagementSelect, manage, and oversee EPC firms, OEMs, and engineering consultantsLead contract negotiations, performance reviews, and cost controlEnsure contractor compliance with safety, quality, and site requirementsCommunicate effectively with senior leadership and global stakeholdersSafety, Quality & SustainabilityChampion a strong safety culture across all projects (EHS by design)Integrate sustainability, energy efficiency, and decarbonization objectives into project scopeEnsure quality assurance during design, construction, and commissioningLead project risk assessments, HAZOPs, and design reviewsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Project delivery (on‑time, on‑budget, scope adherence)Capital efficiency and ROIStandardization and replication across sitesOperational readiness and startup performanceRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Materials Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or related)8–12+ years of engineering and capital project experience in manufacturingProven experience managing multi‑site or regional capital project portfoliosStrong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and materials science environmentsDemonstrated experience with capital governance and stage‑gate project executionPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Engineering or MBAExperience in materials science, advanced ceramics, metals, polymers, refractories, composites, or specialty chemicalsPMP or equivalent project management certificationExperience working in a global matrix organizationExposure to sustainability, energy transition, or advanced manufacturing technologiesStrong leadership and stakeholder management skillsStrategic thinking with hands‑on execution capabilityFinancial acumen and capital planning expertiseAbility to influence without direct authorityExcellent communication across technical and non‑technical audiencesComfort working in culturally diverse, global environmentsWork Environment & ExpectationsFrequent presence at manufacturing sitesAbility to manage multiple priorities across different geographiesFlexibility to support critical project milestones and plant outagesEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.For further information, please review the Know Your Rights notice from the Department of Labor.#J-18808-Ljbffr
