Overview

Position Purpose

The Regional Facility Operations Manager will perform technical reviews, Facility Condition Assessments, and other related services in real estate life cycle and capital planning of properties. Communicates all project related information to the Program Managers or Technical Reviewers. Conducts the on-site inspection and assessment, prepares a written report to accurately describe their findings, and may enter the information into the capital planning database.

 

Reporting Location: Gulfstream - Savannah, GA (must be willing to relocate)

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:     

The following duties are typical for this classification.  All duties may not be performed and/or additional duties may be added to address business needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Compares conditions of the facilities and estimate the costs of needed repairs and renovations.  
  • Forecasts facility conditions for Exterior Structure, Life Safety, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Interior Finish, Site, ADA Compliance, etc.  
  • Maintains data in a system that allows users to develop future budgets. For example, we have the tools, technology, and expertise to provide the following data: Short-term and long-term events for strategic planning, forecasting for future investments, parity highlights and equity issues.  
  • Defines requirements to solve problems, launch baseline for the master plan, and deliver the credible and defensible data.  
  • Evaluates architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to determine condition, remaining useful life and required expenditures and remedial measures. 
  • Completes comprehensive and high-quality condition assessment and due diligence engineering evaluations of varying buildings’ systems. 
  • Handles multiple assessment projects in a condensed timeframe. 
  • Manages client relationships. Identifies and develops facility options to satisfy project objectives.  
  • Determines life cycle / replacement value. 
  • 75% travel to offsite locations is required.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four year college or university in a related field or equivalent relative experience is required 
  • 10+ years of experience in related field 
  • Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, LEED, Certified Building Analyst preferred but not required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Excellent time management skills including ability to perform multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently. 
  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
