Overview
The department is seeking a Regional Finance Consultant to support local implementation of Tennessee's student-based funding formula, the Tennessee Investment in Student Achievement (TISA). Following the formula's launch in spring 2023 and full implementation during the 2023-24 fiscal year, school districts across the state experienced significant changes in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities include supporting strategic budgeting approaches, implementing cost-center accounting practices, enhancing financial reporting and communication strategies, facilitating stakeholder engagement efforts, and supporting state-level financial reporting and data analysis.
