Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago is an affiliate of the nation’s largest donor-and volunteer-supported mentoring network. We provide high quality mentoring services to thousands of children and their families across Cook, DuPage and Lake Counties in IL and Lake and Porter Counties in Indiana. Big Brothers Big Sisters carefully matches children (“Littles”) with caring, screened and trained adult mentors (“Bigs”). Position Summary:
The Regional Growth Manager, NWI is responsible for driving BBBSChi's growth in Northwest Indiana by generating the youth, volunteer, and partner pipelines needed to achieve annual new-match and children-served goals in Lake and Porter Counties.
Working closely with Customer Relations, Enrollment, Match Support, Site-Based Programs, Development, and Marketing, this position develops community partnerships, executes recruitment strategies, manages regional participant pipelines, and helps ensure existing programs are filled to capacity.
The Regional Growth Manager, NWI also supports approved program expansion by recruiting sufficient Bigs and Littles and cultivating community partnerships that contribute to successful program growth. While program implementation and operations remain the responsibility of program teams, this role is accountable for building the community awareness, recruitment activity, and participant pipelines necessary to support growth.
Essential Responsibilities:
Growth and Goal Achievement
· Drive achievement of annual new-match and children-served goals across Northwest Indiana.
· Develop and execute recruitment and community engagement strategies that generate qualified youth and volunteer prospects.
· Monitor regional performance and adjust outreach activities as needed to support organizational growth goals.
· Identify and elevate barriers that may impact growth, recruitment, enrollment, or program capacity.
Recruitment and Pipeline Management
· Build and maintain strong pipelines of prospective Bigs, Littles, families, schools, businesses, and community partners.
· Conduct volunteer, youth, and family recruitment activities aligned with program needs and organizational priorities.
· Maintain visibility into participant pipelines from inquiry through enrollment and matching.
· Coordinate with internal teams to support effective follow-up and participant progression.
· Use data to monitor pipeline health, identify gaps, and inform recruitment priorities.
Community Partnerships and Outreach
· Develop and maintain relationships with schools, businesses, municipalities, chambers of commerce, civic organizations, faith communities, and community partners.
· Represent BBBSChi at community meetings, presentations, networking events, and recruitment activities.
· Generate referral and recruitment opportunities that contribute to new matches, children served, and program growth.
· Maintain strong regional visibility and awareness of BBBSChi's mission and opportunities.
Program Growth Support
· Support existing programs by ensuring sufficient youth and volunteer pipelines to maintain program capacity.
· Support approved program expansion by building pipelines of prospective Bigs and Littles and cultivating local community support.
· Collaborate with Site-Based and program staff to align recruitment activities with current and future program needs.
· Provide regional insights, community feedback, and growth opportunities to agency leadership.
