What You'll Do
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention
- Serve as the primary HR partner for team members and leadership across both locations
- Foster a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture
- Collaborate with Executive Directors on staffing, employee relations, and operational improvements
- Coordinate hiring processes, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding
- Maintain accurate personnel records, HRIS systems, and compliance documentation
- Support scheduling, attendance tracking, and employee relations documentation
- Lead training, development, and employee engagement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and healthcare regulations
- Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and return-to-work processes
- Support audits and maintain strict confidentiality of all information
- Perform other duties as needed to support operations
Work Schedule & Expectations
- Full-time position with typical hours between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Flexibility required, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Travel required between both locations (The Gardens in Hartford and The Heritage in Watertown)
- May be required to work beyond normal hours based on operational needs
- Reliable and consistent attendance is essential
What You'll Need
- Associate’s degree or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience with demonstrated success
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Experience in employee relations, recruitment, and compliance preferred
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and professionalism when working with diverse teams, residents, and families
- Knowledge of employment laws and healthcare regulations is a plus
