Regional Human Resources Generalist

What You'll Do

  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention
  • Serve as the primary HR partner for team members and leadership across both locations
  • Foster a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture
  • Collaborate with Executive Directors on staffing, employee relations, and operational improvements
  • Coordinate hiring processes, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding
  • Maintain accurate personnel records, HRIS systems, and compliance documentation
  • Support scheduling, attendance tracking, and employee relations documentation
  • Lead training, development, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and healthcare regulations
  • Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and return-to-work processes
  • Support audits and maintain strict confidentiality of all information
  • Perform other duties as needed to support operations

 

Work Schedule & Expectations

  • Full-time position with typical hours between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Flexibility required, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Travel required between both locations (The Gardens in Hartford and The Heritage in Watertown)
  • May be required to work beyond normal hours based on operational needs
  • Reliable and consistent attendance is essential

 

What You'll Need

  • Associate’s degree or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience with demonstrated success
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Experience in employee relations, recruitment, and compliance preferred
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and professionalism when working with diverse teams, residents, and families
  • Knowledge of employment laws and healthcare regulations is a plus
