We are seeking a Regional Insurance Product Manager to own state-level strategy and market performance across an assigned region, and to help bring Openly insurance products to independent agents across the country. Reporting to the Director of Insurance Product Management, this highly visible role offers the opportunity to lead key insurance product management initiatives and interact with business leaders across Technology and Operations Teams. This role requires a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can efficiently function in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning state-level strategy and calibrating Openlys homeowners program for assigned states and new state entries, including UW eligibility, coverage offerings, competitive positioning, and Openly proprietary models

  • Managing the state filing process and DOI relationships and correspondence, ensuring timely regulatory approval

  • Collaborating with our Technology and Operations teams to successfully implement rate reviews and new state launches

  • Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators and drivers of profitability, including loss ratios, actuarial indications, frequency/severity trends, sales conversion, persistency, and translating findings into actionable strategic recommendations

  • Developing cost-benefit analyses of state-level strategic initiatives and presenting recommendations that balance market opportunity with company objectives and profitability targets

  • Identifying business challenges and opportunities, designing analytical frameworks to evaluate options, and delivering sound recommendations

  • Cultivating partnerships with Business Development, serving as the primary conduit for field-level market feedback into the Insurance Product organization

  • Escalating state-level insights that warrant countrywide product changes, acting as an internal advocate for market needs

  • Contributing to other product management initiatives, such as external data evaluations, market/competitor intelligence, and new product development

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in insurance product management or product development roles, with a demonstrated focus on strategy, analytics, or state-level product ownership

  • A degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Statistics, or related field

  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to develop and interpret quantitative analyses and translate findings into strategic narratives for senior business leaders and cross-functional audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and define complex business problems and develop relevant analytical frameworks to deliver solutions, often operating in ambiguity and leveraging creativity

  • Strong communication, storytelling, and project management skills

  • Able to collaborate effectively with people at all levels across the company

  • Strong decision-making skills, using data to inform strategic recommendations

  • P&C insurance experience is required, and homeowners insurance experience is a plus

  • Insurance product compliance and/or state regulatory relationship experience is a plus
