Become the next Medical Staff Service Administrator for a well-known organization located in the Easten Hawaii Region

The Position

  • The Regional Medical Staff Services Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the operational function of the Medical Staff Department including credentialing, payor enrollment, peer review, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Reporting to the Regional Chief Human Resources Officer, this leader will oversee a team of seven direct reports.
  • Key responsibilities include leading the daily operations of the department, driving process improvements, establishing and tracking key performance metrics, benchmarking industry best practices, supporting ongoing medical staff policy development, and partnering closely with employed providers and physician leadership.
  • The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and operationally savvy leader with deep knowledge of medical staff services and credentialing operations. They will have demonstrated success leading high-performing teams, improving departmental processes, and influencing change within a unionized environment. Strong communication skills and commitment to both patient and staff experience will be essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Certification as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) is required within 12 months of hire.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in medical staff services within a healthcare setting, including at least 5 years in a leadership role; director-level experience is preferred.

Compensation Range

  • The base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $165,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
