DIVISION OVERVIEW: The Adult Criminal Justice and Treatment Services (ACJS) supports clients who may have struggles related to a substance use disorder. We provide opportunities for clients to rebuild their lives so they can become healthy and self-sufficient. ACJS’ work includes screening and assessments for substance use disorders, placing clients into treatment programs, monitoring and reporting on progress, and providing support including, but not limited to, insurance enrollment, obtaining a state ID, and finding employment resources.
We are currently looking for full-time – Outreach Worker
Starting at $44,676–$47,650 contingent upon experience, education, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement, coordinate, facilitate, and monitor outreach activities within the assigned regional area
Prepare and package overdose kits for distribution and fulfill online orders
Engage community partners and stakeholders to promote TASC’s harm reduction services through in-person and virtual meetings and events
Collaborate with TASC area administrators to identify and implement outreach opportunities targeting priority populations
Prepare, interpret, and present reports on program operations, service evaluation, and resource utilization
Conduct ongoing assessment of community opportunities to enhance program reach
Represent TASC in community and external relations related to harm reduction services
Maintain positive professional relationships with internal staff, leadership, community partners, and clients
Support TASC’s harm reduction social media presence in collaboration with the communications department
Our Ideal candidate:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid driver's license
CADC certification within two years of employment with TASC may be required based on contractual obligations
Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated experience in group facilitation
Knowledge of the current ASAM placement criteria, DSM-V as it relates to substance-related disorders, and Code of Ethics for substance abuse professionals, or the ability to acquire the knowledge
Comfort working inside a correctional setting and with persons convicted of serious violent offenses
Flexibility in thinking and approaches to leading group discussions
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
