Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Regional Production Manager to lead and grow mortgage production across an assigned geographic region. This role is responsible for managing branch performance, developing Branch Managers and Loan Officers, recruiting top talent, driving sales growth, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
The ideal candidate is a proven mortgage leader with strong sales, coaching, recruiting, and relationship-building skills who can motivate teams, improve production, and foster a high-performing culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, coach, and develop Branch Managers and Loan Officers across the assigned region.
- Drive mortgage production growth while maintaining excellent customer service and a strong local market presence.
- Monitor branch and employee productivity and communicate performance results to executive leadership.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop new Loan Officers and branch talent.
- Ensure all mortgage origination activities comply with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain strong compliance standards and zero tolerance for fraud.
- Ensure branches consistently follow established mortgage processes and procedures.
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and resources to employees throughout the region.
- Lead and participate in Branch Manager meetings, sales initiatives, and corporate training programs.
- Develop innovative marketing, prospecting, and business-development strategies to attract new clients and referral partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve production, efficiency, customer service, and branch performance.
- Address employee performance concerns and provide recommendations regarding employee status and compensation.
- Partner with executive leadership on branch budgets, staffing, equipment, resources, and operational needs.
- Ensure employees remain compliant with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and company guidelines.
- Originate mortgage loans when necessary to support regional production.
- Promote a positive culture focused on honesty, transparency, integrity, accountability, and teamwork.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Mortgage processing experience required.
- Previous management and leadership experience required.
- Experience with Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Product Advisor (LP).
- Mortgage banking or related industry experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead sales teams and drive mortgage production.
Education & Industry Knowledge
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Extensive knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-QM loan programs.
- Strong understanding of mortgage origination processes, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
