We''re looking for a Regional Recruiter to help us build a strong pool of Correctional Officers who are committed to protecting and serving within our agency, our careers make a difference! This position will work strategically and collaboratively to serve as NC Department of Adult Correction (NC DAC) Regional Recruiter (Agency HR Consultant I) to initiate and carry out recruitment initiatives in the specified Region or specified area of expertise in order to plan, coordinate, and facilitate recruitment to our certified vacancies within NC DAC. These positions will recruit for and source qualified candidates and work well with Agency Administration, Institutional leadership, Facility Administrators, Community Supervision District Staff and leadership, and other working units and hiring teams within NC DAC to plan and facilitate special recruitment hiring events, candidate sourcing and engagement, metrics and reporting, etc. to target outstanding candidates for jobs such as: Correctional Officers, Probation/Parole Officers, Administrative, Trades, Engineering, and other positions as deemed necessary.

These are full-time, permanent positions (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. These positions have a direct reporting role with Recruitment Supervisor for training, recruitment efforts, and specialized recruitment needs in "hard to recruit for" positions.
Travel may be required with some occasional overnight stays, additionally, overtime on evenings and weekends may occur. A State Vehicle will be available for approved travel in addition to other tools necessary to fulfill the expectations of the position such as a state vehicle, state laptop, state cell
phone, printer, gas (WEX) card, recruiting materials and displays, etc.
This position will operate as field-based regional positions but will be responsible primarily for in-person recruitment activities for Alamance,
Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Guilford, Granville, Nash, Orange, Person, Randolph, Rockingham, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wilson and possible other surrounding counties.

Salary Range: $50,088 - $66,595

Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
Experience planning and implementing strategic field recruitment initiatives.
Experience using social media tools and electronic platforms in the recruitment process.
Experience candidate sourcing and/or sourcing candidates through various web-based HR/Recruitment platforms.
Must have a valid driver's license, in order to operate a State Vehicle.

Minimum Education and Experience

Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
