Omni Aircraft Maintenance
  • McKinney, Texas

    Job Description

    Department Sales
Reports To Tim Lockerby, EVP of Sales and Marketing
Location Texas-based — North Texas, Greater Houston, Austin/Central Texas or East Texas

    POSITION OVERVIEW

Omni Aircraft Maintenance, an FAA Part 145 repair station serving business aviation since 1983, is growing — and we are looking for an exceptional aviation sales professional to expand our presence throughout Texas.
This is not a desk-based account-management position. We need a driven, credible and highly responsive outside sales professional who can develop relationships with aircraft owners, directors of maintenance, chief pilots, flight departments, management companies and other key decision-makers across the state.
The successful candidate may live in North Texas, the Greater Houston area, Austin/Central Texas or East Texas. What matters is not a particular city — it is proximity to the Texas business aviation market, the willingness to be consistently present in the field and the ability to produce results.
The right person will understand that business aviation sales is not built through mass emails and occasional check-ins. It is earned by being present, knowing the customer’s operation, responding quickly and doing exactly what you promise.
At Omni, we protect our customers’ downtime, budgets and trust — every time.

    THE OPPORTUNITY

As Omni’s Regional Sales Executive for Texas, you will build a strong, sustainable pipeline and convert relationships into profitable maintenance, avionics, connectivity, mobile-service and AOG opportunities.
You will represent Omni throughout the state, strengthen our presence in major Texas aviation markets and help establish our McKinney operation as a trusted regional destination for business aircraft operators.
This position offers significant visibility within the company and direct access to Omni’s sales, operational and executive leadership. You will have the resources and support of the entire Omni organization — but you will also be expected to take ownership of your market and produce measurable results.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    Market Development & Relationships
    • Develop and execute a focused sales strategy for the Texas market.
    • Build relationships with aircraft owners, directors of maintenance, chief pilots, fleet managers, management companies and aviation industry partners.
    • Maintain a consistent in-person presence at airports, hangars, operator facilities and aviation events throughout Texas.
    • Represent Omni at regional aviation events, trade shows and customer functions.
    Pipeline & Prospecting
    • Generate qualified opportunities for inspections, maintenance, avionics, connectivity upgrades, mobile service and AOG support.
    • Identify upcoming inspections, aircraft downtime requirements and upgrade opportunities before they become open-market RFQs.
    • Conduct disciplined outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals and face-to-face visits.
    • Create new relationships while expanding Omni’s business with existing customers.
    • Refer aircraft sales, acquisition and pre-buy opportunities to Omni Aircraft Sales, and bring the resulting inspection work back into the shop.
    Solution Development & Closing
    • Coordinate closely with estimating, operations, avionics, marketing and leadership to develop compelling customer solutions.
    • Communicate Omni’s value beyond hourly rates by clearly explaining total project cost, downtime, risk and scope.
    • Follow every qualified opportunity with urgency, professionalism and persistence.
    • Remain engaged after the sale to help ensure an outstanding customer experience and generate long-term repeat business.
    Reporting & Market Intelligence
    • Maintain accurate customer activity, opportunities, next steps and pipeline forecasts in Omni’s CRM.
    • Provide useful market intelligence regarding customer needs, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    Experience & Market Knowledge
    • Demonstrated success in business aviation sales, account development or a closely related customer-facing aviation role.
    • Strong working knowledge of business aircraft maintenance, avionics, connectivity, aircraft operations or MRO services.
    • An established network within the Texas business aviation market is strongly preferred.
    • Residence within North Texas, Greater Houston, Austin/Central Texas or East Texas.
    Sales Capability
    • A genuine hunter mentality with the discipline to prospect consistently and create new opportunities.
    • Ability to communicate credibly with technical and executive decision-makers.
    • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to sell value, certainty and reduced operational risk — not simply a lower labor rate.
    • Comfort discussing project scope, downtime, pricing and customer expectations.
    • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office and modern prospecting tools.
    Personal Attributes
    • Exceptional responsiveness, follow-through and attention to detail.
    • Confidence working independently while collaborating closely with operational and technical teams.
    • Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout Texas.
    • High personal standards, integrity and accountability.
    Additional Requirements
    • Valid driver’s license and insurability under Omni Aircraft Maintenance’s auto insurance policy.
    • Ability to obtain airport and SIDA badging credentials where required.

THE PERSON WHO WILL THRIVE AT OMNI

You are competitive without being transactional. You pursue business aggressively without sacrificing honesty or trust. You listen before recommending, understand that responsiveness is a competitive advantage and never leave a customer wondering what happens next.
You do not wait for leads to arrive. You create opportunities.
You are comfortable walking into a hangar, introducing yourself and beginning a real conversation. You know how to uncover upcoming maintenance needs, connect customer problems with Omni capabilities and remain professionally persistent through a long sales cycle.
Most importantly, your word means something. If you make a commitment to a customer or teammate, you deliver.
