Regional Sales ManagerMy client is a leading provider of critical systems and components, serving the aerospace and defense sectors with products designed for the most challenging environments. Their technology spans a wide range of industries, from engines and landing gear to satellites, medical implants, missiles, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Whether it's enabling phone navigation, facilitating bank transactions, or supporting food delivery services, their microwave products are essential to everyday operations. With over 60 years of experience, they have established a strong reputation in military, communications, electronic warfare, radar, and satellite technologies.The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for securing orders for microwave products within a designated territory or group of accounts. This role involves identifying and cultivating new business opportunities to apply microwave products and technical solutions to meet customer needs. Additionally, you will gather and assess bid requests, providing proposals as needed.Develop and execute both short- and long-term sales strategies to drive profitable growth and expand the reach of company products and services. Identify and generate new business opportunities with existing and potential customers within the assigned territory and accounts. Recommend and implement effective capture strategies for critical opportunities to maximize long-term market share. Prepare and submit bids and proposals in response to both solicited and unsolicited RFQs. Utilize the CRM system to update and maintain customer contacts, as well as track bookings and forecast sales within the assigned area. Collaborate with customers, representatives, and internal departments within the Microwave Systems Solutions team to ensure seamless operations. Lead contract review and negotiations, working closely with the Contracts Manager as needed. Provide regular reports on sales activities, including new market potential, travel results, customer meetings, and competitor activities. Take on additional responsibilities as required to support business objectives. Contribute to the development of booking and marketing goals, ensuring the company captures a significant market share and achieves profitability. Proven ability to craft professional and effective business correspondence. Skilled in responding to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business stakeholders. Proficient in preparing and delivering presentations, as well as developing articles for publication that meet established style and format standards. Capable of presenting information to senior management and public audiences. Willingness to travel regularly to support business needs.Competitive base salary with additional bonus incentive plan.
