POSITION TITLE: Regional Sales Manager Mid-Atlantic Region
DEPARTMENT: North America Wealth Management
- POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree required; MBA, CIMA, or CFP preferred.
- Seven or more years in asset management distribution, with a demonstrated record as an external wholesaler and/or in sales management required.
- Direct selling experience in at least two of the three target channels including wirehouse, IBD, and/or RIA required.
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets required.
- In-depth knowledge of Federated Hermes' and competitors' product lineups required.
- Proficiency with Federated Hermes technology resources including Salesforce, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Microsoft Copilot required.
- Established home-office and national-accounts relationships within the territory preferred.
- Must possess, or immediately obtain, FINRA Series 7, Series 66, and Series 24 licenses.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Lead distribution across the Mid-Atlantic region, directing a team of approximately 10 to 13 external Regional Consultants responsible for selling the full suite of Federated Hermes' products to channels including wirehouse, independent broker dealer and regional investment advisor clients.
The Regional Sales Manager holds full responsibility for gross and net sales, market-share growth, and asset retention across the territory.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 13 external Regional Consultants to consistently exceed gross and net sales goals.
- Recruit, retain, and develop staff; build a bench and manage performance directly.
- Set and defend territory strategy by channel, including collaborating with internal teams for partner firm platform access and product availability.
- Travel with the Regional Consultants on high-priority financial-advisor and gatekeeper meetings; model and reinforce a repeatable sales process.
- Own the regional sales budget (personnel, marketing, travel and entertainment) and allocate resources to the highest-return opportunities.
- Partner with marketing, product development, and portfolio management on positioning, campaigns, and new-product launches.
- Use CRM and territory analytics to manage pipeline, productivity, and market share at the territory and representative level.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, branch meetings, and key client events.
- Deliver accurate forecasting, call reporting, strategic plans, and other administrative duties as required.
HOURS/LOCATION:
- Field-based; candidate must reside within the Mid-Atlantic territory. (IL, IN, OH, KY, PA (excluding Philadelphia and surrounding counties), MD, VA, and southern DE)
- Extensive in-region travel and irregular work hours required.

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,580 - $235,130. In determining salary multiple factors will be taken into consideration such as primary work location, experience, education and skill set. In addition to base salary, this position includes eligibility for a bonus. Annual bonuses generally range from 50% to 250% of base salary and are determined by considering a variety of factors including some or all of the following: gross sales, net sales, asset growth, revenue and attainment of business-based objectives. Certain employees may be eligible to participate in a Long-Term Incentive Plan. Each calendar year employees are eligible for paid leave which includes fifteen vacation days, seven ill days, and ten holidays.
