As a family-run, high-tech company with nearly 19,000 employees at 71 locations worldwide, we are looking for forward thinkers with unconventional ideas and drive to join our team. Our company culture, which values collaboration and mutual trust, creates the ideal framework for boldly trying new things and questioning the status quo. Our technologies inspire people to develop and produce things that are currently unimaginable. Whether lasers, machine tools, EUV or electronics - TRUMPF is building technological worlds for future generations. Are you ready for new challenges?

Summary

As a Regional Sales Manager for Aftersales, you will drive post-sales revenue and customer satisfaction by consulting and selling to our existing customer base across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Your primary focus is to promote and sell proactive service solutions that maximize equipment uptime, resolve customer pain points, and build long-term loyalty as their preferred service partner. We are seeking a resourceful problem-solver who excels at managing multiple priorities and customers, building strong relationships across diverse industries, and strategically balancing remote sales with on-site customer visits.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Proactively promote Aftersales offerings (e.g., service agreements, training, smart services, and spare parts) to maximize equipment uptime and cultivate trusting relationships within our existing customer base, ultimately building lasting customer loyalty
  • Assess equipment conditions during on-site facility walk-throughs, or gauge equipment health through remote customer discussions, collaborating with the internal Service group when necessary to recommend strategic improvements
  • Navigate complex customer interactions and pricing objections by emphasizing the comprehensive value of equipment readiness — including proactive maintenance, operator training, and on-hand parts availability
  • Leverage predictive insights to help customers avoid costly unplanned downtime
  • Provide high-level customer experience while directing non-sales support inquiries to the appropriate internal departments to ensure all customer needs are addressed in an efficient manner
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of all customer activities, leads, and opportunities using TRUMPF standard sales systems (e.g., CRM, SAP, and other relevant applications)
  • Adhere to all company guidelines
  • Perform any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management

Travel

  • Travel frequency is dictated by customer needs. On-site visits are expected when necessary to fully assess requirements prior to quoting; otherwise, working in-office while having remote interactions with customers is preferred. Occasional overnight stays are required
  • Must maintain Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be eligible for a passport and able to travel within the US, Canada, and Mexico up to 25% (potential travel to global headquarters in Germany may be required)

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s preferred
  • 3+ years B2B sales of services, maintenance agreements, or industrial products
  • Proven ability to build relationships across diverse industries, including but not limited to automotive, medical, and aerospace
  • Experience driving remote sales and conducting on-site equipment assessments (laser or photonics industry experience a strong plus)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; quick to learn new software applications (SAP experience a plus)
