Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direction of the VP of Patient Safety & Quality, the SVG Senior DPSQ Safety Engineering, Education & Analytics role is responsible for coordinating and maintaining activities related to safety and quality analytics, including SEA events, monthly quality executive meetings, shared learnings, and PSO functions. The role also manages and supports implementation of education software platforms such as PolicyStat, VigiLanz, SharePoint/Atlas, the SVG Educational Platform (HealthStream), and One Source. This work is completed through collaboration with center leadership and colleagues, supporting process improvement, facilitating training, identifying education needs, and participating on committees. In addition, this role provides high level oversight for development, acquisition, and integration activities across the division to ensure new or expanding facilities meet expectations for patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.

 

OPERATIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Quality, Safety, Education, and Analytics Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership teams, pharmacy teams, experience leaders, DDONs, RMDs, physicians, staff, corporate resources, and surgery centers in the market.
  • Attend event calls, facilitate SEAs in collaboration with aligned SDPSQs, and share learning throughout the organization.
  • Develop presentations and present on SVG assigned field calls.
  • Analyze and assist in communications with the monthly quality executive meeting presentations and shared learning.
  • Manage PSO functions for SVG.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of systems designed for patient safety and injury prevention, including safety tool kits.
  • Assist in system development, communication, and implementation of division required quality reporting (CMS, ASC QC surveys, etc.).
  • Manage and assist in education related to software platforms such as PolicyStat, VigiLanz, the SVG Educational Platform, SharePoint/Atlas, and One Source.
  • Assist in interpretation and evaluation of quality trends and opportunities for improvement system wide and regionally as needed.
  • Manage, in collaboration with the Group CNE and Education Committee, the Annual Education Plan for SVG.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Education leaders to identify resources for SVG and align with enterprise education priorities.
  • Manage and update annual quality documents provided to ASCs.
  • Assist with division-wide quality presentations such as new leader onboarding and collaboration calls.
  • Participate in internal and external committees as needed.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the SVG Educational Platform (HealthStream).
  • Assist in development and communication of patient safety and recall alerts. 
  • Oversees facility development and integration efforts to ensure quality, safety, regulatory, and education systems are consistently implemented and maintained.
  • Assist in the development of quality team training programs and resources.
  • Complete assigned P3 entries (East and West).
  • Provide coverage for other SDPSQs during benefit leave. 

What is required for this role: 

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
  • 5+ years applicable experience is preferred
  • 5+ years experience in ambulatory care quality improvement is preferred
  • 1+ years in a supervisory role is preferred
  • Additional preferred experience: Involvement in ASC development or opening a new Ambulatory Surgery Center, including regulatory preparation, quality program build-out, and operational readiness processes.
