Job Description

General Purpose

Under the guidance of the Regional Director of HR Operations, this position will be responsible for the development and implementation of programs to achieve the UM Health Regional Networks' strategic, business and operational objectives - including Leadership Development, Workforce Development and Engagement, Performance Management, Succession Planning, and Change Management. Working as a trusted advisor to all levels of leadership, utilizes appropriate OD models, tools and systemic approaches to drive initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness. Teaches, guides and coaches others to effectively facilitate change and organizational performance.

Essential Duties

  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the regional organizational development team to ensure alignment of programming, practices and outcomes.
  • Function as the lead for organizational development projects and team members involved in leadership development and engagement.
  • Facilitate and monitor system-wide efforts to reinforce the organization's desired culture and to improve work processes as needed to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Provide consultation and coaching to leaders and staff to enhance performance, alignment, consistency, and continuity in achieving organizational strategies.
  • Facilitate the development of a learning organization through effective use of information technology and collaboration throughout the Regional network.
  • Facilitate the use of feedback derived from formal feedback mechanisms and provide coaching to leaders for improving individual performance and improving effectiveness of the leaders' team and department.
  • Function as the lead OD professional in researching and recommending best practices.
  • Coordinate delivery of educational programs and learning experiences for Leadership and Workforce development through both classroom and e-learning modalities.
  • Conduct outcomes evaluation based on measurement/analysis of program impact on performance and provide recommendations for process improvement.
  • Role model collaboration and relate well with diverse partners and workgroups across the regional network.
  • Facilitate problem solving, team building and performance improvement meetings with diverse work groups

Job Requirements

General Requirements • PHR or SPHR Certification, preferred. • Additional organizational development, effectiveness or process improvement certifications, preferred. Work Experience • Experience working with healthcare educational initiatives, preferred. • Experience with conducting continuous improvement training, preferred. Education • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience OR associate's degree and a minimum of 7 years' experience. • Master's degree, preferred. Specialized Knowledge and Skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated strength in facilitation and delivering training to diverse workgroups • Problem solving skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment using strong time management and organizational skills • Strong analytical skills • Flexibility and adaptability • Strong customer service and training skills. • Professionalism and self-motivation. • Computer knowledge required and ability to learn new software programs
