Regional Technical Manager

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking an experienced Field Service Regional Technical Managerto provide technical leadership, operational oversight, and people development for our regional field service team. This roleis responsible forensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of transformer installation, maintenance, testing, commissioning, repair, and emergency response activities while driving customer satisfaction and operational excellence. The Regional Technical Manager serves as the primary technical escalation point for complex field service projects and partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Sales, Project Management, Safety, and customers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This leader is responsible fordeveloping field personnel, improving technical capabilities, supporting business growth, andmaintaining Sunbelt Solomon's commitment to safety and exceptional customer service. These responsibilities align with best practices across leading industrial field service organizations. Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership and guidance to Field Service Engineers, Technicians, and Project Managers. Serve as the highest regional technical escalation resource for complex transformer service projects.Support troubleshooting of power transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, LTCs, bushings, and associated electrical equipment.Review technical procedures and ensure adherence to company standards and industry best practices.Assist with root cause failure analysis and corrective action planning.Support commissioning, acceptance testing, emergency response, and outage planning.Drive standardization of field service processes across the region. Operational Leadership Manage regional field service operations to ensure safe, profitable project execution.Coordinate technician scheduling and resource allocation with Operations. Monitor project progress,utilization, labor efficiency, and backlog.Ensure projects meet quality, safety, schedule, and financial objectives.Support emergency customer response during outages. Identifyopportunities to improve productivity, response times, and operational efficiency. Safety & Compliance Champion Sunbelt Solomon's safety culture. Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, company safety policies, and customer safety requirements. Conduct jobsite safety observations and audits. Lead incident investigations and corrective actions. Verify technicians maintainrequired certifications, PPE, and training. Promote continuous safety improvement across the region. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop Field Service personnel. Conduct performance evaluations and establishdevelopment plans. Identifytechnical training opportunities to improve workforce capabilities. Assistwith succession planning and leadership development. Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Customer Relationship Management Develop strong relationships with customers throughout the assigned territory. Participate in customer meetings and technical reviews. Resolve escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally. Support business development by identifyingadditionalservice opportunities. Assist Sales with technical presentations, proposals, and customer visits. Financial & Business Performance Support regional revenue, profitability, andutilizationgoals. Monitor labor productivity and project performance. Assistwith forecastingmanpowerrequirements. Review project costs and recommend operational improvements. Support annual business planning and strategic initiatives.
