SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and high-quality pharmacy services. We are expanding our services to our NEW location in Cook County, Illinois.
NOTICE:
SpecialtyRx is seeking a Travel Pharmacy Technician located in the surrounding areas of Cook County, Illinois.
Responsibilities:
- Able to work independently under the direction of a supervisor.
- Maintain active communication with client facility and pharmacy staff.
- Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter).
- Maintain accurate information at each ADS (Automated Dispensing System), including quantity and expiration date.
- Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.
- Replace potentially expiring inventory.
- Restock depleted inventory.
- Perform monthly audits (cycle counts).
- Provide reports for the facility.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Important: Must be local to the Cook County, Illinois area.
- Licensed Illinois Pharmacy Technician.
- Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year experience in long-term care preferred).
- Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and data entry preferred.
- Ability to efficiently use various programs and applications and troubleshoot ADS issues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform light physical lifting.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Willingness to travel within Cook County and surrounding areas in Illinois.
Shift: Monday – Friday.
