Position Details

Position Details:

• Driver will make deliveries of farm materials/equipment, raised bed planters, fire rings, rodeo/arena equipment, expo/show equipment, fencing, and related hardware/parts on flatbed trailers from Corinne UT to customers sites in AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NE, NV, OR ,UT, WA, and WY

• Loads will be preloaded on trailers

• Driver is required to strap the loads upon pick up

• At the receiver, customer will unload freight using forklifts with assistance from the driver

• See below for strapping/unloading procedures

Cargo Securement/Unstrapping Procedures:

• Driver is required to inspect farm equipment for stability prior to unstrapping/loosening tie-downs

• This will require the driver to climb the flatbed and on top of the load

• Driver will unbuckle and remove heavy duty tie-down straps using leverage tools/winch bars to safely release tensioned equipment

• Driver will be climbing the flatbed and getting on top of the loads to unbuckle/remove tie downs

• Driver must be comfortable working at heights and safely maintaining balance while handling metal stakes, poles, and binding straps

Unload Process:

• Driver will be working near forklifts and heavy machinery during the unload process
• Driver is required to work in tandem with the forklift operators to guide forks under elevated loads and ensuring balanced lift points for uneven items
• Driver is required to ensure the drop areas are cleared of obstacles, debris, and personnel before staging offloaded equipment
• Driver is required to stack and align agricultural gates, panels, and plastic storage tubs neatly for customer delivery or yard storage
• Driver is required to assist the customer with unloading. This entails cutting ties, climbing on the load, and helping lift heavy objects

Special Requirements:

• Driver must be willing and able to chain as weather dictates

• Driver must be willing and able to run mountain routes

• Driver is required to assist other DCS/JBI accounts as needed

• Driver receives their activity base rates when outsourced

• Driver must be willing to assist accounts outside of UT as needed

• Driver is required to wear high visibility safety vests, durable work footwear, and appropriate PPE at all times

• Trucks must be left at the account for time off
