Position Overview
As the Regional Vice President, Multi-Family, you’ll lead a portfolio of multi-family communities and deliver strong operational and financial performance. You’ll set regional strategy, coach and develop Regional Managers, and drive disciplined execution of business plans to improve occupancy, revenue growth, and NOI. This role is built for a proven leader who thrives in dynamic market conditions, moves quickly from insight to action, and builds high-performing teams grounded in accountability, collaboration, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop Regional Managers to achieve occupancy, revenue, expense, and NOI targets
Build and sustain a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, ownership, and results
Set clear priorities during challenging market conditions and maintain focus on execution
Identify underperformance quickly and implement targeted action plans to improve results

Financial and Operational Performance
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals, including revenue growth, expense control, and NOI optimization
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance management
Ensure strong revenue management practices that minimize vacancy and maximize ancillary income
Maintain disciplined expense control while protecting asset quality and resident satisfaction
Partner with Marketing to develop and execute targeted strategies by market and submarket
Align on-site execution with marketing initiatives including pricing, concessions, branding, and lead management
Monitor performance metrics such as traffic, conversion, and cost per lease, and adjust strategies to improve ROI
Support lease-ups and repositioning efforts with effective go-to-market execution

Portfolio Oversight and Cross-Functional Partnership
Conduct regular property visits, minimum three days per week, to evaluate operations, asset condition, and team effectiveness
Partner with Portfolio Management to align operational execution with investment strategy
Support acquisitions, dispositions, and lease-ups with operational expertise
Lead regular KPI and operational reviews to drive accountability and continuous improvement
Participate in executive-level portfolio reviews and strategic planning
Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive conditions to proactively adjust strategies
Champion resident retention and customer experience initiatives across the portfolio
Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Accounting, Finance, Development, Construction, Legal, HR, and Marketing to achieve business goals

Qualifications
10+ years of multi-family, multi-site property management experience
Proven success leading teams and improving performance of underperforming or high-profile assets
Lease-up experience for Class A and B assets required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field, or equivalent experience; CPM preferred
Strong financial and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Strong knowledge of Fair Housing and Landlord-Tenant laws
Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills
Experience with property management systems, Yardi preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AI platforms, Elise AI preferred
Strong computer skills required
