BASIC FUNCTION: The primary function of this position is to assist in providing, reinforcing and supporting instruction and behaviors of individuals or groups of students with disabilities in order to meet IEP and other goals; under the supervision of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and the Superintendent and/or designee. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: -Implement behavior treatment programs as designed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and based on evidence-based practices -Collect and maintain data on student behaviors, including both behaviors targeted for reduction and skill acquisition under the guidance of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) -Assist in supervision of students during classroom activities, lunch, physical education, field trips and other school activities -Attend and participate in team meetings and staff meetings as scheduled -Assist Program Specialist during behavior in-services and notify Program Specialist of any training needs -Maintain RBT logs for supervision hours and submit the log to the BCBA and student data monitoring system monthly -Provide modeling, training, coaching, and mentoring to instructional assistants and teachers on behavior interventions and treatment programs -Assist in training instructional assistants and teachers on data collection -Create student reinforcement materials, token systems, visual supports, lesson materials, etc. as assigned by the BCBA or IEP team -Assess and identify reinforcement options that will be motivating for students -Assist in the maintenance and organization of student files, archive files, copy data sheets, etc. -Temporarily support students in severe behavior situations when a student needs additional support -Identify appropriate replacement behaviors to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills -Utilize assistive technology or specialized equipment as needed -Assist in behavioral crisis situations using

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent Current Registered Behavior Technician certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Clerical skills and computer experience A minimum of two years of experience providing behavior intervention services to individuals with disabilities, desired. Coursework in child development, child psychology, and/or education desirable Working in an instructional setting desirable KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF: Applied Behavior Analysis intervention strategies, Discrete Trial teaching and techniques Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and behavior management strategies and techniques relating to students experiencing atypical control problems Various data collection procedures (frequency, duration, ABC data) The characteristics of various disabilities Appropriate curriculum and instructional strategies for students with disabilities Applicable laws, codes, policies, and regulations related to assigned activities Microsoft Word and Excel Interpersonal skills including tact, patience and compassion for both students and staff

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification California Department of Justice fingerprint clearance Provide current negative Tuberculosis test or pass the Adult Tuberculosis Risk Assessment Questionnaire Obtain a Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification within the first 130 days of employment. A minimum of one of the following is required: A passing score on the Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Exam AA degree; or 48 semester units of college General Education
