Registered Behavior Technician

Housing Advocacy Vocational and Employment is looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team in LaPlata, MD. Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Collect and record accurate behavioral data during each session to track client progress
• Provide direct 1:1 behavioral therapy to clients in home, community, or clinic settings
• Use positive reinforcement strategies and evidence-based techniques to address challenging behaviors
• Assist clients in developing communication, social, and daily living skills
• Collaborate with supervisors, families, and support teams to ensure consistent care
• Maintain detailed session notes and documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards

Requirements:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
• Prior experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or developmental disabilities
• Strong data collection, documentation, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable with a client-centered approach
• Ability to pass a background check and meet all state and organizational compliance requirements
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations in the LaPlata, MD area
