Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will play a crucial role in providing behavioral therapy and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly children. This position requires a strong understanding of behavior management techniques, medical documentation, and patient care. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving the quality of life for clients through effective behavioral interventions and education.
Responsibilities
Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
Monitor and document client progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
Educate clients and their families on behavior management strategies and techniques.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and reports as required.
Assist in the development of new treatment strategies based on client needs and progress.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy.
Requirements
Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities, is preferred.
Knowledge of special education practices and behavioral therapy techniques is essential.
Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes is beneficial.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate clients and families about behavior management.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a focus on individual client needs.
