REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT

About the Role:
Rajal J Patel DDS PA is looking for a skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice in Orange, NJ. Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and preventive care
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients
• Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) following proper safety protocols
• Record patient medical histories, treatment notes, and updates in dental software
• Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene practices
• Manage dental supply inventory and ensure operatories are fully stocked
• Support front office functions including scheduling and patient communication as needed

Requirements:

• Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification or license in New Jersey
• Experience with dental four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting
• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (X-rays); radiation certification required
• Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and OSHA compliance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment with a positive, team-oriented demeanor
