Our dental practice is seeking an exceptional Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team. Monday: 7:00am-5:00pm
Tuesday: 7:00am-5:00pm
Wednesday: 7:00am-5:00pm
Thursday: 7:00am-5:00pm
Friday: OFF
Responsibilities:
The Hygienist will utilize their experience and expertise to ensure a high level of patient care. The Lead
Hygienist will mentor and coach members of the hygiene team in an effort for continuous process
improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove plaque,
tartar, and stains from patients' teeth.
• Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including reviewing medical history, evaluating gum
health, and identifying potential issues.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, following established protocols for patient safety.
• Complete oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments.
• Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' oral health
needs.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition, to
prevent dental issues and promote whole-body health.
• Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants to help protect teeth from decay.
• Document patient information and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records.
• Monitor and maintain dental equipment and instruments to ensure proper functionality and infection
control.
• Uphold strict infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with industry standards and
regulations.
• Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring a comfortable and friendly environment during
appointments.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene and oral health through continuing
education.
Associate’s degree in relevant area of study / Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• State license required
• Certification in local anesthesia administration (if required by practice)
• CPR certification
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE
• 1-2+ years of progressive experience as a registered dental hygienist
• Must be comfortable with dental technology
