Dr. James Patterson, DDS is a general dental practitioner seeking a skilled and experienced part time or full time dental hygienist to join his team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality dental services. This position offers retirement (20% contribution), vacation, and paid Holidays. Applicants must have a degree in dental hygiene and a valid state license.
Key Objectives:
Participate in continuing education courses to maintain licensure and improve skills.
Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Communicate effectively with patients to address any concerns or questions.
Perform periodontal assessments and screenings for oral cancer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Gather patient information and health background.
Take x-rays when necessary.
Prepare the work area for procedures.
Clean and polish patients’ teeth and gums.
Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits.
Update patient records.
Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment.
Restock treatment areas.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Associate degree or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program.
Current state license and x-ray certification.
Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures.
Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques.
Excellent communication skills.
Pay:
Wage is negotiable based on experience and hours worked.

Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm
Friday 8am-noon
